Accounting and Finance Degree Reflection

Accounting and Finance Degree ReflectionAccounting has always been an interest of mine. Since I was a child, I train always been good in calculation, which makes it cleargonr that accountancy would be a good choice. later on divisions of studying it, I realised accountancy is not only ab out(a) deeds merely theory that require various scholarships in order to perform a good chronicle. The increase number of students in the account statement field has made employment extremely competitive. Major findings suggest that, employers require a bounteous set off of generic wine and professional skills in graduates to add value to business. In the past, generic skills was broad in that it was usually associated with those skills developed outside the technical curriculum. More recently the scope of the term generic skills has extended to emphasize relevance to graduate outcomes in terms of the world of hunt down and, more specifically, employability (Barrie, 2004). The motley o f skills is necessary by the employers as it helps them solve the diversity of business challenges.Generic and professional skills that employers requireThe embedding of generic and professional skills in higher education curriculum has been of interest for many years. Skills are important for life- presbyopic scholarship and employability. B. Jackling and P. De Lange (2009) suggested that the skills most desired by employers include converse skills, uninflected skills and team skills.Communication skill is in partingicular essential to accounting profession for which interaction between the providers and the recipients of knowledge. For accounting it is important to starts with gathering and cultivateing of information and end with communicating of processed information. Previous research shows that accounting graduates experience communication problem in early employment (McLaren, 1990 Pattern and Williams, 1990). Despite that accounting curriculum has positively contribute d to the development of written communication skills (Zaid, O. and Abraham, A. 1994)Analytical skills is relating to using analysis or logical reasoning to solve a problem. It is the ability to ascertain and solve complicated problems while making accurate and informed decision. Employers are looking for people that are open to think littlely and its consequence. For example, one could be good at spread sheets, can hedge data effectively but they arent good at figuring out whether the information is reasonable or realistic (Ballantine, J. A. Larres, D. M. 2004).There are an increasing number of companies that want employees to work in a cooperative environment in order to respond quickly in an environment with intense complexity. Avery (2001) proposes teamwork as and unmarried skills, meaning each individual in a team must take responsibility for the process necessary to accomplish a corresponding goal. Teamwork is apply a lot in the field of accounting such as complete pr ojects, evaluate clients and report and analyse pecuniary statements.Learning outcomes that are applicable to achieving these skillsThe degree that Im currently pursuing is Accounting and Finance. The module chosen from this socio-economic class is Financial Accounting and reporting (U50035), delivered in semester deuce of the 2011-2012 academic year, and Financial Accounting Theory (U50081), delivered in semester one of the 2012-2013 academic year. As a credit entry student, I took a module in year one similar to Introduction to Accounting delivered in semester one 2010-2011 academic year. The knowledge outcomes from the modules in the area of monetary accounting were designed to provide students with opportunities to build their employability profile alongside developing their knowledge. The modules were designed to encourage students to build their skill base as part of their way to higher level of intellectual development. In my second year I did Financial Accounting and Re porting module. Throughout this module, I manage to develop some skills and happen upon some learning outcomes. For instance outline the regulatory castwork for pecuniary reporting which applies to UK and international companies and too using financial and other reports to appraise the performance, financial situation and cash position of companies. We were given two coursework assignments one individual and one group. The individual coursework is regarding IAS 19, Employee Benefits that has been amended. At a glance, the coursework is intimidating because there are stiff amount of research and reading. They reduced my motivation. However, as I started to read, common key term such as International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), defined benefits, termination benefits, service cost, net interest, re-measurements tend to appear in most of the articles. The skimming phase confirmed that my initial problems came from jargons and new terms about the IAS 19. It taught me to us e critical and analytical skill in order to find key words and phrases, which help me to read long articles. The second assignment of this module is to do a group showing on the financial performance, financial situation and cash position of Good Energy Group plc. Further, I have improved my evinceation and writing skill because this coursework is presented in a professional report with graphs and financial data. We have limited succession to carry out research and we were worn off by the intensive lectures. This is where I found out how time management and teamwork skills play as important elements for success. We distributed the workload among ourselves and set a time frame for completion. Group members were to adhere to the time frame stipulated. This is how we manage to complete a simple presentation, with many vague hard work behind our success.Currently Im doing Financial Accounting Theory module. There are some(prenominal) learning outcomes from this module one of it is t o understand the function and operation of Accounting in a range of contexts, informed by current thinking and research in the discipline. We were given homework almost any time after a seminar. In week 4 we were asked to read a few articles regarding revisiting the abstract framework. This article refers that the framework needs updating and refining, the inconsistencies need to be eliminated because framework being less face-saving in providing guidance for standard setting decisions. During the seminar in week 5, we then discussed our findings in a subtle group of three. Through this Ive learned a lot more than self-reading, the interaction has definitely improved my communication skills. One strategy describes by Cunningham (1998) to develop creative and critical thinking skills in students are by analysing real life case studies. During the seminars, students were asked to analyse articles provided by the lecturer. Learning outcome such as able to demonstrate the use of curr ent accepted technical language of accounting and accounting practices internationally is achieved. A constructive feedback is given on the spot after a question is raised. This will assists students to develop a questioning attitude as well as able to update their knowledge.Introduction to Accounting is a first year compulsory module, which introduces student to certain principles and techniques of accounting. The module will be concerned with the processes used to record, summarize and present accounting data. The objective of this part of the module is to enable students to prepare company financial statements. Learning outcome after having completed this module is the ability to prepare a set of financial statements for a company from a trial balance and incorporating a variety of simple adjustments. For example when learning how to produce a financial statement, it requires technical and theoretical knowledge once I discovered how to present the information, thats when I develo p non-verbal communication skills (Ballantine, J. A. Larres, D. M. 2004). When I started my first semester, I find myself struggling for time. My lifestyle has find chaotic, as I have to juggle between school, work and family. I felt tired commonplace and have no motivation to complete my tasks. This is mainly due to my poor time management. As part of the module, an educational talk from one of the accounting firm, Ernst and Young has made me realize that many things could be achieved with seemly time management. A person that works at least 12 hours a day silent find himself some time spend with family and for his favourite sports.ConclusionThis reflective statement is a learning tool, which will help students better understand, learn and reflect on issues covered in the entire course and in other relevant areas. I believe that a strong academic background is a fundamental issue for student but might not be enough in indicating whether or not a student will be successful in a particular work environment. Throughout this course I personally think that the modules I have taken have been benefiting me in terms of the aspects in which I have learned. It is designed to encourage communication skill, teamwork, critical thinking and analytical skill. This is what employers seek for in a potential candidate. Researching on coursework have opened my eyes and made me aware(p) of any jargons that come across during reading. In the final (third) year, I feel as if I have a great deal of knowledge of the information that I looked at for these modules. The use of case studies, group-based learning, and task designed to address communication and presentation skills are suitable for developing appropriate competencies in accounting graduates for future employment.

The Importance Of Moral Philosophy

The Importance Of honourable Philosophy incorrupt philosophical system is very important to the succeeder of an individual. Rational cognition has two comp championnts. These comp integritynts are material and formal. egg completeledge is non object oriented, and is ground on reason. Formal knowledge is logic, or the laws of thought. Material knowledge is object oriented, and has two comp iodinents. These two components are natural and clean. Natural law is physics. It determines what is the case, and how things be aim in nature. On the other hand, moral law determines what things ought to be. Morality is fewthing hu small-arms think well-nigh, and is not based on physiological factors. Now that we have a little background of knowledge and moral law, let me tell you wherefore you should lead a moral career. Even though morality is not impose upon you, it is about worldity. And, fleck it may not seem fair, in reality, morality is judged by humans. So, if you are wicked, other people willing be the ones that notice that you are immoral, and that can hurt personal relationships. One steering that I have succeeded throughout my career is by knowing and being fri terminals with a lot of people. The practical side of bread and butter is based on interpersonal relationships. Whether it be social or business, communicating with people is the only way to take on things done. There is no way that you can go through bearing in todays night club without getting along with people. If people think that you are immoral, than they will not respect you, or be willing to work with you. Again, it may seem like it is not fair because you know that no one is one hundred percent moral, and if someone doesnt respect you because you are immoral, than they are hypocritical. But, when it comes to moral issues, the reality of the land is that people are hypocritical. They feel it is okay for them to do it, but not okay for anyone else.Think about it, how many times have you said, I cant believe that he did that hes a jerk. Knowing the full(a) time that you have done the same thing. You may say, Who cares Im here to tell you that one day you big businessman care. let me give you and example. After I completed a business venture that made me over one million dollars, I learned that the only reason I received the job was because the man I was competing against had cheated on his wife. Well, the company offering the job decided that they couldnt trust this man because of his immoral activity. So, to cause your question, I care. And for that matter, I bet if you were involved in this situation, you would care. Now I want to tell you an provable reason why you should care. This may be so obvious that you overlooked it. Many of our nations laws are based on moral issues. For instance, you cant hurt another human you cant steal from another human and you cant kill another human being. Now, you may say, I already know this But, if everybody knew th is, would we need jails? Let me ask you a question. How successful can you be in jail? My point with this question is to get you to realize that you cant be successful in jail.Nobody grows up saying that they cant sojourn to go to jail because they know that it is the place to be. Nobody says that if they could unspoilt get in jail they know that they could be the best prisoner, and could have the biggest cell. This may be taking immorality to an extreme, but it happens. An immoral life could send a person to jail. I can tell you some of the consequences of an immoral life, but I cant make you be moral. Morality is not imposed upon you by society. Morality is self imposed it is something in us, and defines what constitutes a human being.I am indisputable that many of you have participated in group sports. Now even if you have a good game, maybe you scored all of the points, and the team won. But, at the end of the game you cheated. Well, everyone that knows you cheated now label s you a cheater. So, in the future, when it is time to play the next game no one wants you on their team. They think that you will give the team a bad name because you cheated before. Again, you might say, Who cares? every(prenominal) I can tell you is that if you cant play because no one wants you on their team, then you sure cant win or be successful. So since morality, whether it is fair or not is judged by those rough you, you will be mitigate off in the end if you lead a moral life.Kant says, The moral worth depends, therefore, not on the realization of the object of the action, but merely on the principle of volition according to which, without regard to any objects of the faculty of desire, the action has been done(Kant, p.13). What this great philosopher was saying, is that you cant always go for the minute reward when you are going to do something. Sometimes you have to bypass the selfish inclination and not cheat or do things that are immoral. Yes, you may not win this game, but at least(prenominal) you can play tomorrow and maybe win then.Moral law is universal. It is not created by anyone, it just exists. Also, moral law is a priori, or in other words, it exists before empirical law. Moral philosophy is very valuable to everyones life. Morals are proper for everyone, and since they are based on metaphysics, and metaphysics transcends differences, they are to a fault cross cultural. Moral law has helped me be successful in everything that I do.Being a 65 year old man, I have seen a lot. I know the value of moral philosophy. Moral philosophy has helped me be successful in every thing that I have done. You may ask, How has it helped you be successful? Well, I have told you a couple of aspects of moral philosophy, and all of these aspects have helped me keep things in perspective. Financial success will come with morality, but if it doesnt, then you will still be better off because you have led a moral life. There have been times in my life when I have succumb to selfish inclination, and the results were immediately good. But ultimately, if I had been labeled as an immoral person, and was not able to do certain things because people didnt like me, than I definitely wouldnt have been the one invited to give this talk to you. By the way, I am getting paid an awful lot of funds for this talk. So there is another way that morality has helped me. Happiness is not a grounding for morality, because some immoral people are happy. But, morality can lead to ultimate happiness and greater success in whatever you attempt to do in life.

Improving Performance of MANET under DSR Protocol

Improving Performance of MANET under DSR communications protocolImproving Performance of MANET under DSR Protocol using Swarm Optimization to avoid redundancyCHAPTER 5 carrying into action and interrogationingThe implementation leg of either cast development is the most important phase as it yields the final solution, which solves the problem at hand. The implementation phase involves actual materialization of the ideas, which ar de nonative in the analysis papers and developed in design phase. Implementation of any softwargon is etern individuallyy preceded by important decisions regarding selection of the platform, the speech theatrical roled, etc. These decisions ar often influenced by several factors such as the real environment in which the brass work, the speed that is required, the security c at one timerns, other implementation item details etc. Implementation should be perfect matching with the design document in magnitude to achieve the necessary final produ ct. For implementation of our system we use web Simulator (NS) tool for dis excuse of the vane and programming languages like Tool Command Language (TCL) and AWK argon utilize for coding.5.1 General ImplementationImplementation and simulation under NS-2 consists of 3 whole stepsSimulation DesignThe starting step in simulating a vane is to design the simulation. In this step, the users should determine the simulation purposes, network material body and as snapperptions, the procedure measures, and the type of pass judgment resultsConfiguring and Running SimulationThis step implements the design described in the first step. It consists of two phasesNetwork configuration phase In this phase network components (e.g., lymph invitee, mobile sink, base station TCP and UDP) ar created and con straind according to the simulation design. Also, the events such as data transfer are scheduled to start at a certain time.Simulation Phase This phase starts the simulation which was conf igured in the Network variant Phase. It maintains the simulation clock and runs events chronologically. An algorithmic ruleic rule is a procedure or formula for solving a problem. A com sayer program can be viewed as an elaborate algorithm. In mathematics and computer science, an algorithm usually means a small procedure that solves a recurrent problem. Simulation of agitated as well as radio tick network purposes and protocols for example, routing algorithms, TCP, and UDP can be completed using NS-2. In all-purpose, and then the NS-2 make forthcoming for the users by means of a way of identifying such network protocols and simulating their corresponding activities.NS-2 is written in C++, with an OTcl1 interpreter as a controller and configuration interface. The C++ while, which is fast to run but laggard to change, is used for detailed protocol implementation. The OTcl part, on the other hand, which runs much slower but can be changed very fast quickly, is used for simulation configuration. One of the advantages of this split language program approach is that it allows for fast extension of large scenarios. To simply use the simulator, it is sufficient to know OTcl. On the other hand, one injustice is that modifying and ext hold onin g the simulator requires programming and debugging in both languages. NS-2 can simulate the followingTopology Wired Wireless gestate Protocols TCP, UDPRouting Static and dynamic routingApplication FTP, HTTP, Telnet, Traffic generators5.2.1 Basic Architecture of NS2The basic architecture of NS2 is shown in the figure 5.1 below. NS2 provides users with executable command ns which take one input quarrel, the constitute of a Tcl simulation scripting consign. Users are providing for the name of a Tcl simulation script as an input argument of anNS2 executable command that is ns.In the volume suitcases, a simulation observe file is shaped, and is second-hand to plot graph and/or to construct animation. NS-2 consists of two depict languages C++ and Object-oriented Tool Command Language (OTcl). While the C++ characterizes the internal apparatus of the simulation objects, the OTcl tougheneds up simulation by pull together and configuring the substance as well as preparation trenchant e vents. The C++ and the OTcl are linked collectively by means of TclCL. Mapped to a C++ object variables in the OTcl sphere of influence are occasionally referred to as switches. Theoretically, a call for example, n as a Node handle is just a string in the Otcl sphere of influence, and does non surround any functionality. Instead, the functionality for example, receiving a big money is distinct in the mapped C++ object examples are, of categorize Connector. In the OTcl province, a handle take steps as a frontend which interrelated with consumers and other Otcl objects. After simulation, NS-2 outputs to a greater extentover text-based or animation-based simulation consequences.Figure 5.1 Basic Architecture of NS2To interpret these results graphically and interactively, tools such as NAM (Network Animator) and Xgraph are used. To investigate an exigent behavior of the network, clients can extract a relevant subset of text-based data and make over it to a much conceivable presenta tionTcl and OTcl ProgrammingTcl (Tool Command Language) is used by millions of people in the world. It is a language with a very simple syntax and it allows a very easy integration with other languages. The characteristics of these languages are as followsIt allows a fast developmentIt provide a graphic interfaceIt is compatible with legion(predicate) platformsIt is flexible for integrationIt is easy to useIt is free rough of the basics of Tcl and Otcl programming are listed below. charge a value to a variable is done through the set command for example set b 0assigns the value 0 to b.When we want to use the value assigned to a variable, we should use a $ sign before the variable. For example, if we want to assign the value of the variable b, we should write set x $a.A mathematical operation is done using the expression command. For example, if we wish to assign the sum of values of variables a and b, we should write set x expr $a+$b.The sign starts a commented line that is not pa rt of the program, so the Tcl interpreter will not execute this line.Performance Analysis ModuleThis mental faculty performs appendageing of output result set to compute the various performance metrics required to analyze the performance of flow slice based routing. NAM has a nice graphical user interface. It can graphically present information such as throughput and number of packet drops at each link NAM is started with the command nam where is the name of a NAM trace fil e that was generated by NS, or it can execute it directly out of the TCL simulation script for the simulation to visualize. Figure 5.3 A Simple NAM Window5.4 assay SetupThe aim of streamleting stage is to discover defects/errors by bear witnessinging individual program components. These components may be functions and the objects or modules. During system judgeing then these components are integrated to form the complete system. At this stage, of seeing should focus on establishing that the system meets its functional requirements and does not behave in unexpected ways.Test data are inputs which have been devised to seek the system whereas test cases are inputs to test the system and the outputs are predicted from these inputs if the system operates according to its specification the result of this is used to examine the behavior in a sticking system. The test cases are selected to ensure that the system behavior can be examined in all achievable combinations of conditions . Detecting all the different failure modes for software is generally infeasible. Software testing is used in association with verification and validationVerification Have built the software right (i.e., does it match the specification)? constitution Have built the right software (i.e., is this what the customer wants)?Testing ProcessTesting is an integral part of software development. Testing process, in a way certifies, whether the product, that is developed, complies with the standards, that it was designed for Testing process involves building of test cases, against which, the product has to be tested. In some cases, test cases are done based on the system requirements specified for the product/software, which is to be developed.Testing ObjectivesThese following objectives imply a dramatic change in view port the testing cannot show absence of defects, it can only show that software errors are present.Testing forms process of executing a program with the intent of finding an erro r.A good test case design is one that has a probability of finding an error yet undiscovered.A booming test will discovers all the bugs and user can undertake steps to rectify them.5.4.1 Test purlieuThe software was tested on the following platform.Operating System Ubuntu 11.10Ns-allinone-2.35DSR to find multiple paths using Genetic Algorithm5.4.2 System testingHere the entire software system is tested and the reference document for this process is the requirements document the main goal is to see if the system meets its requirements. Each module and component of project was thoroughly tested to remove bugs through a system testing strategy. Test cases were generated for all realizable input sequences and the output was verified for its correctness. Test cases for system testing are mentioned below.Software testing is the process used to help identify the correctness and completeness of developed system. Testing is a process of technical investigating that is intended to reveal if the system works in a way it is intended to operate. Testing furnishes a comparison that compares the state and behavior of the product against a specification. Software testing also provides an objective and the free-lance view of the software to allow the business to appreciate and understand the risks of software implementation.5.4.3 Testing ArtifactsSoftware testing development shown with many artifacts and they areTest PlanA test specification is normally know as test plan and the investigators are well conscious about what test plans determination is use and this information is made obtainable to administration and the developers. The manager or the foremost supervisory plan is to put together them more careful when increasing the code or construction additional revolutionizes.Traceability matrixA traceability matrix is counters that draw a parallel necessity or propose for the documents to test documents and it is used to endure that the results are acceptable.Test caseT he test case in general consists of a exclusive identifier and pledge references from a design specification then the preconditions along with the events a series of steps known as actions to follow the input output and expected result including the actual result. All these phases can be accumulated in a word central processing unit document, with the spreadsheet, and also the database, or other usual repository.Test suiteThe good number of frequent phrase for a collected works of test cases is a test suite. The test suite frequently also contains more comprehensive instructions or goals for each collected works of test cases.Test dataNumerous positions of standards or data are used to test the identical functionality of an exacting characteristic. It is also helpful to manufacture this data to the client and with the foundation of or a project.Test harnessThe software apparatus, illustration of information input and output, and arrangements are all referred to cooperatively as a te st harness.Testing MethodsThe testing methods describe the approach that is used to test the working of the project. These approaches tests whether the functionality of the project address with the existing requirements. Overall functionality of the project is also tested.Types of test carried out areUnit testingIntegration testingFunction testingUnit testingA unit test is a piece of code that invokes a unit of work and checks one specific end result of that unit of work.If the assumptions on the end result turn out to be wrong, the unit test has failed. In unit testing and black-box testing then the white-box testing are done to check the correctness of the existing functionality.Normal Manual testing has been done to check the correctness of the functionality of the project. Then the further results of each testing are depicted in the table the test case approach has been chosen out of the testing artifacts.Integration TestingIntegration testing is any type of software testing that seeks to stray the interfaces between the components against a software design.Integration test may be performed all at once the top-down and bottom-up then significant piece first, some time integrating functional subsystems first and then integrating the subsystems in separate phases using any of the basic strategies.Usually larger the project, the more important the integration strategy will be to the project. operational testingFunctional testing is the generation of test cases from specifications is a valuable and flexible approach to software testing application from very earlier system specification right through module specification Functional testing deriving test cases from program specifications.Functional said to set of information used in test cases design not to what is tested also known as Specification based testing (from specifications) black-box testing (no view of the code)and the Functional and the specification description of intended program behavior either formal or informal.

The Seven Dimensional Model of Religion

The Seven dimensional Model of devotionThis essay examines news seven dimensional good example of faith against six main world religions.I shall then examine how early(a) belief systems fit into the same model. I shall consider other models concisely attempting an analysis of whether bracings model is successful. When I mention religion I stiff the Christian religion and not precisely the Christian religion to a greater extentover the Protestant religion and not only the Protestant religion, but the church of England.(Henry Fielding TomJ iodins)The first consideration when attempting the definition of religion is that a successive forward definition such as Fielding attempts in his unsullied work excludes the world view of religion. He speaks of Christianity excluding some traditions we will examine. from each one religious tradition within itself embodies numerous belief systems. Many philosophers and theologians would verify that religion is not definable.Smart recogn ises that religion is partly a be of convention as to what is counted under the head of religion and what is not.(Ninian Smart ThePhenomenon of godliness p10)In setting out his model Smart attempts to find one that is inclusivistic of global religion whilst confining the definition to that which can be classify as of religion. The seven dimensions ar I in a flashExperiential Doctrinal Mythical religious riteistic institutional and Ethic I nowpropose to examine these key areas explaining presently what Smart meant by them attempting to apply it to the six world traditions.ExperientialSmart explains the experiential dimension as the emotions witnessed by the founder of the tradition and its followers. Rudolf Otto describes it as the numinous experience, that is, the feeling one experiences when the senses of man are aroused as a result of paranormal or special places.Examples of this are Moses and the destroy Bush Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita. The second aspect of the experiential is that of mysticism. This is an inner seek of that which is unknowable. Examples of this would be the whirling dhervishes and the Hasidic tradition within Judaism.DoctrinalSmart explains this as the formulation of a system to encapsulate the tradition. For instance, Smart gives doubting Thomas philosophical explanation of debut an authoritative feel compared with the stage of creation in Genesis. There is besides the doctrine of theTrinity going some agency to explain Jesus as God within Christianity. Within Buddhism, the Buddha explained himself the racetrack to salvation whereas other traditions have left that to the succeeding institution to develop. fabSmart explains this as sacred history or sacred story rather than the term we are familiar with today. The great religions have stories to key of their founders such as the Enlightenment of the Buddha or the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus. There are also stories to explain difficult concepts for example evil. Many f aiths strengthen these stories by writing them down as in the Torah or the Quran.Oral traditions also arise such as the Catholic tradition of relying on various saints for help.RitualSmart explained this as a method by which religion expresses itself. earthly concern uses rituals worldwide as a form of communication, for example, the handshake. There is a back together of people who recognise these rituals. Examples of these will be the ancient Judaic tradition of ritual sacrifice in the Temple Baptism withinChristianity.EthicalReligions commonly follow a code ofethics they expect their followers to adopt. This concerns not only the individuals behaviour but also that of the society. Examples of this are the ten commandments the 613 commandments of Jewish practice of law Vatican Edicts on birth control.InstitutionalSmart describes this as the tangible optical embodiment of religion that can be seen on two levels by means of and through groups of people as in the Church, or t he Sangha. The second level is through the buildings such as the mosque, the mandir, the cathedral. Also within this category can be places of religious significance such as Benares, the River Ganges and Jerusalem.Visual/ estheticalThese aspects of religion can be translated into works of art architecture music. This support ritual or understanding sacred story for example hymns, prayer beads beads. In Smarts book Religious Experience and Mankind he argues that this model works as closely as possible to discovering the nature of religion. He struggles however in that other world philosophies such as humanitarianism and Communism closely follow the model. For the purpose of brevity, I shalloutline the model against fabianism to illustrate the comparisons. In the ritual dimension, communismhad set in place ceremonies performed in praise of the philosophy for examplethere were annual celebrations of the revolution. In the experiential dimensionKarl Marx was held as the seer and found er of wisdom. His revelation of anew system created the wow factor. In the unreal dimension oraltraditions were developed of the revolution. Das Kapital became the sacredtext. In the doctrinal dimension, edicts were passed down explaining howpeople were now meant to work and live.In the ethical dimension moralbehaviour and the laws of society were adjusted to pay credible the communisttradition. For instance, it was haveable to murder if the criminal was apolitical agitator and the authorities executed. In the institutional dimensionthe communist party became the church and the mission was communism. In thematerial dimension places such as Lenins tomb became a shrine, a central pointof worship. Yet, communism could never be considered a religion but more anideology. Yet it fits within the model quite confortably. The social dimension isquestionable. It also relates to politics and racism as an identity, a label,a badge of allegiance of a group. This is how Richard Gombrich terms modernworld religion. For him, the key to defining religion is what you do, notwhat you think.Hans Kung demonstrates thatreligion can be categorize in terms of family. Indian religions tend to followa mystical route with a mystical leader Chinese religion with a wise perspicacious andNear Eastern religion with a wise figure. It is not possible to adjust a narrowdefinition on the religion but I can accept that they belong together infacilitating humankind with its humanity.BibliographyFielding Henry Tom Jones Oxford human race Classics Oxford 1998Gombrich Richard TherevadaBuddhism A Social History from Ancient Benaresto Modern Colombo RoutledgeLondon 1988Kung Hans trace the WaySpiritual Dimensions of the World Religions Continuum 2002Otto Rudolf Mysticism(East) RA Kessinger Publishing 2003Open University A5 Religion Block4 units 14-15 pp 36-38Smart Ninian The Phenomenon ofReligion London and Oxford 1978 p10Smart Ninian ReligiousExperience and Mankind Collins New York 1971

Nanocrystalline Diamond Coating around Sphere Analysis

Nanocrystalline Diamond Coating near Sphere AnalysisMechanical Properties and consent of Nanocrystalline Diamond cultivation around SphereHongyun ChenNanocrystalline base fruitcake field covers were deposited on spheres apply for ball baby buggy. The nanocrystalline destinations with a grain size of 50nm were confirmed by the open morphology and composition analysis. The strainingness of the conclusion is 20-40GPa tried by nanoindentation, which is higher than that of double-u carbide and te nitride substrates. The stopping point around the sphere discover from the Micro CT images is uniform with a onerousness of 12m.keywords unwavering lubricating refinement, nanocrystalline baseball baseball field, mechanical propertiesIntroductionMechanical parts be often utilize under extreme environment such as high temperature, prodigious load, radioactive and high vacuum, and so on. A wear-resistant, lubricating coating can cling to the mechanical parts and ensure the ir reliability under these extreme conditions1, 2. The advantages of adamant coating with high toughness, high elastic modulus, outstanding wear resistance, outset friction coefficient and good chemical stability make it to be an judge solid lubricating coating3, 4.The protective coating, e.g. baseball diamond like carbon (DLC) coating deposited on metals and some other materials can protect the interface of the metals from crack, solely likewise reduce the frictional wear of the opposing dig up due to the excellent tribological properties such as extremely low friction and wear resistance. rib et al5. deposited (DLC) coating with a thickness of 2m on silicon and carbonitride using pulsed-DC discharge and studied the tribological demeanor of DLC coating. Their solvents showed that the increase in surface indention reduced the friction coefficient, and wear rate of the carbonitride as the interlayer reduced three orders comp ard to that of silicon. Xie et al6. grew DLC coa ting with 600nm thickness on silicon wafer using micro-cook plasma chemical vapor deposition (MPCVD). It seemed that surface roughness, adhesion and junk accumulation collectively abnormal the frictional behavior while the tribological behavior of DLC coating mainly depended on the coating and its adhesion to the substrate. Gruen et al7. successfully deposited the nanocrystalline diamond coating with average grain size of 5-13nm on silicon at 750 by MPCVD. After that, there were much investigation of the nanocrystalline diamond coating, but the nanocrystalline diamond coating grown on the spheres are very few. B Lunn et al8. from Hull University deposited micro diamond coating with thickness of 3m on a sintered carbide (6%Co) ball of 15mm in diameter with a special support system in a hot string chemical vapor deposition (HFCVD) chamber. The present work focused on that nanocrystalline diamond coatings were deposited on the sintered carbide spheres and silicon nitride spheres use d for ball bearing to improve the wear-resistance. The mechanical properties and uniformity of the coating were evaluated by Micro CT and nano indenter.ExperimentalBy rotating the substrate holder, uniform diamond coatings around world(a) substrates with 1-3mm diameter were deposited by a lab-made MPCVD reactor. Tungsten carbide (WC-6 wt.% Co) spheres and silicon nitride spheres were pitched up as the substrates. The cobalt as the adhesive of tungsten carbide would convert the diamond into graphite, resulting in decrease in adhesion amid coating and substrate. So firstly diluted nitric acid was used for processing the tungsten carbide spheres in order to selectively remove the cobalt of the surface9. Then, the spheres were scratched using 1-10m diamond powders by ultrasonic method, and rinsed in alcohol and dried forward to deposition. The nanocrystalline diamond coating was deposited for 20-60h at following parameters total gas contract was 4KPa, microwave power was 1400W, the s ubstrate temperature was 870, 2.2% methane diluted in hydrogen. The Raman spectroscopy (LabRAM HR, HORIBA Jobin Yvon S.A.S, France) with a laser as light sources (wavelength 532nm) was used to analyze the quality of diamond coating on different substrates. The surface morphology was investigated by scan electron microscopy (SEM, JSM-7500F, Hitachi, Japan) to measure the crystalline grain size. An atomic force microscopy (AFM, MFP-3D, bema Research, USA) was applied for quantitative the surface roughness determination on a 2020m scanned area. The mechanical properties were measured by MTS nano indenter (G200, MTS, USA) at an approach velocity of 5nm/s. The thickness and the uniformity of the diamond coating were investigated by Micro CT (CT100, SCANCO, Switzerland). Results and discussion3.1. surface morphologyThe surface morphologies of coatings deposited on different substrates can be seen in Fig.1a and c respectively, and b and d are the high magnification of images. Both the samp les were treated under the selfsame(prenominal) conditions. It is evident that there is no big difference between coating deposited on tungsten carbide sphere and silicon nitride sphere. The obtained coatings on both substrates withstand cauliflower structure with a grain size of about 50 nm.The surface roughness is very important for solid lubricating application where a smooth coating surface can decrease the frictional wear. display panel 1 shows the transform in roughness due to the thickness change of coating on tungsten carbide using AFM method. The roughness of the coating followed the drive in thickness, which was increasing with the rise of the thickness of coating. The roughness of the coating with 5m thickness was under 150nm. Both RMS roughness and the average (Ra) roughness were between 100nm and 210nm lower than the florescence-valley (P-V) roughness. The latter had higher roughness look ons in the order of whizz micron, which accounted for the cauliflower stru cture on the surface of the coating as shown in Fig.1. The rough surface does harm to the solid lubricating application. So the roughness will be decreased through post word e.g. chemical mechanical polishing.3.2. Uniformity and thicknessThe small sphere makes it hard to measure the thickness and the uniformity of the diamond coating. SEM image of the hybridisation subdivision is usually used to show the thickness and uniformity of the coating. However, solo one intersecting surface is ascertained, which cant represent the whole sphere. micrometer gauge CT can get a 3D image of the coating and directly give the whole feature of the coating. Because the metal absorbs the X-ray, the coating on silicon nitride which is inorganic material was measured.Fig.2 is the CT image of the diamond coating around sphere. Fig.2a and b are the 2D and 3D images of the sphere and c is the 3D CT image of the shell whose silicon nitride substrate is removed(p) through analysis software simulation. As the images shown, the coating is uniform and no obvious protuberance on the surface can be observed. The cross section of coating in Fig.4a indicated that the concentricity between substrate and coating was maintain to assure uniform coating thickness. No separation between the silicon nitride substrate and coating was observed, suggesting that the diamond coating attached the sphere tightly. Fig.3 shows the thickness distribution of the coating. The thickness of coating is between 10 to 14m among which 12m is dominant.3.3. CompositionCVD diamond coatings with different thickness were characterized by Raman spectroscopy as shown in Fig.4, a and b were the coating with 5m thickness, and c and d were the coating with 12m thickness. The peak at 1332cm-1 is the characteristic of the diamond lattice which can be used to identify diamond. Two sharp peaks at 1337.87cm-1 and 1333.64cm-1 in Fig.4a and b prove that the composition of coating was in relation to diamond. Both of the two p eaks throw frequency shift caused by the compressive essay10. This accounted for the mismatch of the thermal expansion coefficient between diamond and substrate. Especially, the value of the tungsten carbide(4.36106/C, 20C) is big than 1.1810-6/C (20C) of diamondresulting in the far more upshift of the tungsten carbide shown in Fig.4a. The value of silicon nitride (2.8106/C, 20C), which is close to that of diamond, produced little residual compressive sample. With the thickness of coating increasing, there was almost same frequency shift shown in Fig.4c and d. Compared with Fig.4a and b, the diamond peak of the thicker coating has a adult upward shift that attributed to the increase in compressive stress with thickness increasing. The compressive stress is also related to other factors such as defects, composition of coating. The stress from defects and composition appeared to be dominant in thick coating. The features at 1145cm-1 and 1490cm-1 are possibly related to acetylene CH chains proposed by R. Pfeiffer11 and his colleague. Their study considered this acetylene CH chains existed in the boundaries of nanocrystal diamond. Those bands around 1140cm1 and 1490cm1 were usually observed in nanocrystalline diamond coating. So Fig.4a and b confirmed the deposited coatings were nanocrystalline diamond, which is consistent with the result of the SEM. In addition, the coating got flexibleness to fit curved surface of sphere because of the acetylene CH chains in coating. In Fig.4c and d, the peaks at 1580cm-1 is labeled as G peaks which are due to the sp2 sites. Compared with Fig.4a and b, the G peak of the graphite is obviously observed on Fig.4c and d. Although G peak at 1560cm-1 possibly overlapped the peak at 1490cm-1, it was obvious that the composition of the thicker coating was different from that of the thinner coating which affected by substrate to some extent. The band at 1146cm-1 is related to nanocrystalline diamond as discussed above.3.4. Mechanical propertiesThe modulus and the hardness of diamond coatings were characterized by the nano indenter designed by the MTS Company. The sphere was too small to find an applicable flat surface to get an accurate result. The diamond coating deposited on silicon wafer was fain with the same conditions as the control. As known to all, the hardness and the modulus of the diamond coating prepared by CVD are normally lower than that of the natural diamond. The Fig.5a and c show the modulus and the hardness of the diamond coating deposited on sphere, while the Fig.5b and d exhibit the modulus and the hardness of the diamond coating on silicon wafer deposited in same conditions. The hardness of the coating on sphere was about 20GPa, only a half of that on silicon wafer, and the modulus was only one threesome of that on silicon wafer. The curved surface and cauliflower structure of the coating on sphere led to lower hardness and modulus measured. The true hardness and modulus of the coating sh ould be higher than that of the measured. In terms of the measured value on silicon wafer, the hardness of coating on sphere was estimated to be 20-40GPa and the modulus was 200-600GPa. Therefore, the diamond coating was expected to improve the wear-resistance of tungsten carbide and silicon nitride substrates whose hardness are about 17GPa and 15.6-9.8GPa respectively11, 12. The modulus of coating also increased in semblance with that of silicon nitride substrate. It suggests that the mechanical properties of both the tungsten carbide and silicon nitride are amend for its ball bearing application.ConclusionFor the purpose of protecting the spheres used for ball bearing, the diamond coatings were successfully deposited on the spheres. The coating is about 5-12m in thickness depending on the deposition time and is uniform as the result of the Micro CT shown. The surface of coating is not smooth plenteous due to its cauliflower structure and needs further polish. The hardness teste d by the nano indenter was 20-40GPa larger than that of tungsten carbide and silicon nitride. The Raman spectra reveal that the coating deposited on sphere is composed of diamond, acetylene CH chains and graphite, which are responsible for the improvement of mechanical properties and fitness around sphere.

Organizational Structure Of P And G

organizational Structure Of P And GOrganizational bodily construction refers to a frame bestow around which group is organized with clearly outlined set of duties and responsibilities. With an government activityal social coordinate, every sensation knows what to do, and who is obligated for which specific task. Organizational complex body part helps to work in a better way. (Muscarella Vetsuypens, 2012)More form entirelyy, organisational body structure is hierarchy of good vision and positions within organization. It is alike represented as character or organization, its set and beliefs. thither are m both types of organizational structures and an organization follow one of these structures at one time, (Muscarella Vetsuypens, 2012) but is any exceptional case there may exists a structure different from that is adopted by that organization as whole. In this newspaper publisher we will analyze different organizational structure in general and structure of Procter a ttempt in point in order has better understanding.Proctor Gamble is an American multinational. The render of company are in down town Cincinnati, Ohio. The company offers a great range to consumer goods around the globe. Due to its expanded trading operations, PG is greatest producer of America in household products. It has almost 250 brands in categories including, beauty care, paper goods, laundry cleaning, food and beverages, health care and feminine care and so on Head Shoulder, Ariel and Pantene are most famous brands around the globe. PGs products are sold primarily through grocery stores drug stores, membership club stores and mass merchandise. PG is a publically owned company, listed on Paris and New York exchanges.Organizational Structure of PGhttp//htmlimg2.scribdassets.com/6f9lu51w74xss1f/images/4-11c44118ed.jpgOrganizational structure of Procter Gamble comprises of two Global Business Units, beauty and glooming and household care. These two Global Business Units are responsible for growth strategies for brands of PG. the main focus of these GBUs is common customer. Needs of common customers are determine through these globular avocation units to develop, and upgrade products and services, and include innovative features in brands of PG. Initially PG had seven employment units, there was a president to leads from each one Global business unit(Muscarella Vetsuypens, 2012) and each Business unit was completely responsible for profitability of related products and performance was measured and benchmarked against competitors of focused product category. The on-going structure of PG is four dimensions, front back hybrid ground substance structure. on that point is a top leader, acoordination council, which is responsible for defining priorities and solve disputes, subordinates and matrix leaders, with need to balance and coordinate four influences structure.Global operations of Procter Gamble comprised of its MDO (Market Development organization). It is responsible of develop market entry programs for PG at local anesthetic level. (Dodgson et al. 2006)Market development programs include country specific programs, trade channels and retail customers. Procter Gamble has organized MDOs along five organizational units that are fixed in Latin America, North America, Western europium, Eastern and central Europe and Asia. Procter Gamble defines North America, Western Europe and Japan as veritable markets and Latin America, CEEMA, Greater china and AAIK as developing markets.Global business services crack up of Procter Gambles structure assists the working of global business units in an effective manner. it provides processes, technology, standard data tools, make MDO and GBUs enable to understand business in better way and to better coiffe customers. Global business services organization of Procter Gamble has responsibility of providing world class solutions at lower cost, and minimum investment. The last component of organizational structure of PG is incorporated function. This function is responsible for providing portfolio analysis, (Dodgson et al. 2006) company level strategy, human resources, external relations, treasurer, and corporate accounts, legal and centralized functional report.Analysis of organizations structure of PG reveals that it offers global scale benefits to PG, it makes it possible the local focus to be relevant to its customers in different countries, probably 180 countries around the globe. Organizational structure is present at PG as its better capability to grow corporate structure of PG is based on a framework that enables it to strike the bene fits of an world(prenominal) organization with efficiency and speed. PGs global operations always prevent it in touch with its local communities. Moreover, efficient governance practices (Child,1972)help to ensure that PG conducts its operations with high standards and consistent quality improvements. PG has been utilizing this structure for to a greater extent than on decade, the structure has been very helpful as it has doubled the capacity to innovate and more than $900 million for company have developed a unique union model allowing us to combine our best with the industrys best. otherwise types of organizational structuresFunctional structureAn organization with functional structure, divides its business operations and activities into different functions. There are different departments that are specifically deal with these specific functions such as selling, ware, sales and promotion, finance, Research and development etcetera In functional structure, there are well def ined responsibilities and rule of thumb to follow that helps these departments to pile their functions efficiently and effectively. Career path of organization is likewise Cleary defined. (Muscarella Vetsuypens, 2012)As in functional structure, tasks are segregated on the basis of strength there is great opportunity for individuals to excel in their respective field. For instance, if any person has specialization in Marketing, he will be part of marketing department, where he will get casualty to excel in hid marketing skills while bringing improved marketing efforts for the company and lend in its profits. In such type of organizational structure, there is chance of conflict between departments. for instance, if sales ratio is not going good, marketing and sales department may blame production department for incompetent design of product that customer do not want to bribe despite of efforts of marketing department.Divisional structureDivisional structure also called product structure. An organization that adopts pieceal structure, divides it basic functions such as marketing, finance, sales, RD, production and design into distinct, self contained units that are efficient enough to perform all basic functions(Child,1972) related to given task. Organizations with divisional structure are independent in nature and self contained. These organizations are more responsive as compare to other organizational structures (Muscarella Vetsuypens, 2012)as they can quickly respond to changing business environment. General Motors Company has also adopted the divisional structure. GM has separate divisions of its different products such as locomotives, SUVs and Sedans etc. each division is can perfectly perform all basic and advanced activities relating to its function. outcomeDifferent organizations adopt different organizational structures. Every organization selects structure that suits its scale and type of business. Procter Gamble has adopted hybrid matrix s tructure that suits its global nature best. It has applied this structure so successfully that it is able to have it as its competitive advantage. As PG is an international fortune with its business operations worldwide, unique organizational structure offers it benefits on global scale. The structure also provides local focus to be relevant for its customers in more than 180 countries around the globe. The structure of PG is also easy to understand and carry no ambiguities it defines role and responsibilities clearly and in precise manner and encourages design and creativity.
